Tennesse Equipment Special County Tax
Tennessee has introduced a special county tax that is only applied to equipment property purchases.
To accomodate this new tax law, Softbase has added a "County Special Flag" section to the County/Prov tab of Absolute sales tax setup.
This setup will allow you to enter a default state tax rate, and then a county tax rate, but then will allow a "special" county rate that will take affect based on certain purchase amounts.
For example, in our setup below, we will have the following occur:
Tax out at the state rate of 7%
Tax out at the county rate of 2.25% up to $1600 in sales
Increase the county rate to 2.75% after $1600 up to the $3200 dollar amount.
