Serialized parts inventory

Serialized parts inventory

When selling a serialized part, you will first need to create the part number that will be serialized in the parts setup.  One the general tab, ensure you flag this part as serialized.

Then, as you receive in each serialized part number will need to set it up with an equipment record.  Once the equipment record is set up, assign that record to the serialized part number on the Serial #'s tab by choosing the part number you just created from the Part # drop down and choosing it.

Upon saving, you will see that unit number is now part of the serialized part number inventory and is associated to that serialized part number.

When you go to sell the part, the part will be highlighted in green, denoting it is a serialized part.

Double click on the part line and a window will open for you to choose the correct serial number that is attached to the part number from your equipment records. Select the correct serial number you are selling and click add, then exit.

You can now close the work order and the part has been sold as a serialized number that links back to the setup of the serial number in the equipment file.
