PO Required - text string requires more than 3 digits

Can the PO Requirement built into the program be updated to require just 2 or 3 digits of text?

We have some small entity customers who utilize 3 digit PO #s.
Their invoicing gets held up until the invoicing staff can reach out to Accounting for help understanding why the invoice will not open with the 3 digit PO in place.
