I am asking that if a field will cause an error if there are too many characters in it that the field only allow as many characters as the system will handle.  We have a lot of customers with really long names that Softbase will allow the person to add them with all the name, but when that customer is added to a work order it crashes.  Same is true for Misc entries - our people can get wordy sometimes and then the system crashes when they try to close the work order.  It would just simplify things if they could only enter the allowed characters.  Thanks!
